Thunderbirds wrap competition at 2018 Bill Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. — The Thunderbirds wrapped up the third tournament of their Fall Season on Tuesday afternoon, as play at the 2018 Bill Cullum Invitational came to a close.

Jake Vincent was the top T-Bird in the field, shooting a 222 (78, 72, 72) and finishing in a tie for 45th. Vincent showed a lot of improvement round-to-round, shaving off six shots from the first to the second round.

Ali Hameed was second in the field for SUU, shooting a 226 (78, 74, 74) and finishing in a tie for 62nd in the field.

Bradley Collet (234), Austin Jaramillo (238) and Hayden Plewe (241) rounded out the scoring lineup for the Thunderbirds.

As a team SUU finished in 14th place shooting a combined 918 (311, 302, 305).

Playing as individuals, Gavin Campbell shot a 231 and Jaden Milne shot a 247.

Boise State won the event and had the top player in the field, as Brian Humphreys carded an 11-under 205.

The T-Birds will wrap up their Fall Season this weekend at the 2018 Red Hawk Invitational in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
