ST. Adding to inclimate weather and tough greens, BYU is without it’s No. 2 golfer,Maggie Yuan, who is not competing after spraining her ankle last week. Vines, a St. George native, is coming off of her first collegiate individual title at the UNLV Spring Rebel Classic. She shot rounds of 76 and 74 on day one to finish six over par, just two strokes behind overall leader Demi Mak of New Mexico State. “Kelsey is playing great right now,” Roberts said. “Her game is impressive and she is fun to watch.” Freshman Annika Afoa joins Vines in the top-15 after day one after improving on a first-round 80 to shoot a 2-over 74 in round two and move into a tie for 12th place. Amanda Keith, a native of Burbank, Calif., finished day one with a 24-over 168 and is currently tied for 54th place. Seniors Jade Bollinger and Emily Copier shot rounds of 84 and 86 respectively in round two.
