Ags Have Bad Second Round, in 8th Place in Washington Tourney

Utah State’s Tyson McFarland carded rounds of 69 and 75 and is currently tied for 11th-place with an even par 144 after the first two rounds at the Washington State hosted Snowman Getaway held here Monday. As a team, Utah State is eighth-place with a 17-over 593 (283-310).
Utah State shot a 5-under 283 during its first round and was just three shots off the lead before shooting a 22-over 310 during the afternoon. Missouri is currently in first-place in the 12-team field with a 16-under 560 after back-to-back rounds of 8-under 280. Missouri’s Emilio Cuartero sits on top of the leaderboard with an 8-under 136 after rounds of 71 and 65.
McFarland, a senior from Rexburg, Idaho, fired a 3-under par 69 during his first round, followed by a 3-over 75 in his second round and is eight shots off the lead heading into Tuesday’s final 18 holes.
Senior teammate Benjamin Schilleman (Layton, Utah) is currently tied for 26th with a 3-over 147 (71-76), while sophomore Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) is tied for 36th with a 6-over 150 (71-79). Junior Austin French (Idaho Falls, Idaho) is tied for 45th with an 8-over 152 (72-80), and fellow junior Chanse Godderidge (Smithfield, Utah) is tied for 64th with a 13-over 157 (77-80).
Utah State will conclude the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m.
