USGA Junior Girls Amateur Qualifier
With a field consisting of 21 girls playing at Stonebridge Golf Club, and only 2 spots available, Remi Rawlings and Xinzhu (Miya) Wu were able to secure their spots as co-medalists. Both recorded their scores of E (72) and the two alternate scores came in at +1 (73) and +2 (74). Both of the players were able to stay in control of their game despite the hot weather conditions and frequent gusts of winds.
Both players kept to a limited amount of bogeys, recording only 3. They were able to combat those with 3 birdies each to even themselves back out to pars. It was this strategy that allowed them to stay ahead of their competitors. You will be able to follow them during the championship at the El Caballero Country Club in California.
