PROVO, Utah — Former Cougar golfer and assistant coach Juli Erekson will return to the BYU women’s golf coaching staff as assistant coach.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to rejoin BYU athletics, coach Carrie Roberts and the women’s golf team,” Erekson said. “I have so much admiration for this institution and for Carrie and her vision that has led to great success. I am grateful to be a part of it and eager to get to work.”

Beginning her collegiate career with the Cougars in 2004, Erekson competed in all 12 tournaments as a freshman and was named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year. As a senior, she finished first at the BYU Dixie Classic and was named to the 2008 All-Mountain West Conference Team.

Following her playing career at BYU, Erekson turned professional playing on the LPGA FUTURES Tour from 2008-2011. Her best finish came at the 2010 Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship where she finished tied for seventh place.

Since her time as assistant coach during the 2012-13 season, she has furthered her golf education through the LPGA program and Titleist Performance Institute. She is a golf instructor at The Ranches Golf Course, as well as the Site Director for the Girls Golf of Utah County program.

Erekson is married to BYU alum football player Zac Erekson who is the head football coach at Skyline High School. She currently resides in Eagle Mountain with her husband and three children: Elizabeth, Zac, and Caz.
